Participants shall tell a story based on Indonesian folklore from the
provinces listed in the annex to this letter of announcement.
The story shall be intended for Indonesian elementary school children.
Participants shall tell the story without reading a script.
Participants may add sound effects and music to the video.
Participants must be clearly visible in the video.
The length of the video shall be 4–7 minutes.
Participants shall mention their full name, competition type, the story’s title, its place of origin, and its source at the beginning of the video.
The quality of the work shall be judged based on its content, language, participant’s performance, and video presentation.
Performing two Indonesian songs composed by Indonesian musicians
Specific Criteria
Participants shall sing one mandatory Indonesian song and one additional Indonesian song chosen from the provided list.
The title of the mandatory Indonesian song shall be “Tanah Airku” composed by Ibu Soed (Saridjah Niung).
The additional Indonesian song shall be selected from the list of song titles attached to this announcement.
Participants may sing with or without accompanying music, either played live by the participant on a musical instrument or by using karaoke.
Participants shall not manipulate (edit) their voices using audio editing applications.
Participants shall sing the mandatory and the additional songs consecutively.
The video shall be taken using a static shot.
Participants shall be clearly visible in the video.
The maximum length of the video shall be 10 minutes.
Participants shall include written information at the beginning of the video, consisting of their full name, country of origin, competition category, song title, and songwriter.
The quality of the work shall be judged based on language, the participant’s performance, and video presentation.
Performing self-composed pantun
Specific Criteria
1. Participants shall present eight pantuns with the following structure.
One stanza shall contain greetings.
One stanza shall contain a self-introduction.
Five stanzas shall contain the body of the pantun.
One stanza shall contain the closing.
A pantun has a stanza consisting of four rhyming lines.
2. The participants shall be clearly visible in the video.
3. The maximum length of the video shall be 5 minutes.
4. The participants must include written information at the beginning of the video, consisting of their full name, country of origin, competition category, and pantun’s theme (if any).
5. The quality of the work is judged with regard to its content, language, the participant’s performance, and video presentation.
Conveying ideas and/or opinions to the audience or public
Specific Criteria
The topic of the speech shall be “Quality Education for All.”
The speech structure shall include an introduction, a body and a conclusion.
Participants shall deliver the speech without reading a script.
When delivering the speech, participants shall stand up and dress formally.
Participants shall be clearly visible in the video.
The length of the video shall be 4–7 minutes.
The participants must include written information at the beginning of the video, consisting of their full name, country of origin, competition category, and speech title.
The quality of the work shall be judged based on its content, language, participant’s performance, and video presentation.
Reciting poems composed by Indonesian poets
Specific Criteria
Participants shall read one mandatory Indonesian poem and one additional poem composed by Indonesian poets.
The title of the mandatory poem shall be “Kupu-kupu di Dalam Buku” composed by Taufiq Ismail.
The additional poem shall be selected from the list of poem titles attached to this announcement.
Participants shall read the poems wholeheartedly, with expression and creativity.
Participants shall read the mandatory poem and the additional poem consecutively.
Participants shall be clearly visible in the video.
The maximum length of the video shall be 10 minutes.
Participants shall include written information at the beginning of the video, consisting of their full name, country of origin, competition category, the poem’s title, and the poet’s name.
The quality of the work shall be judged based on language, participant’s performance, and video presentation.
Announcement and Awards
The announcement of and awards for the best participants are organised as follows.
The announcement of the First, Second, and Third Best Participants for each competition shall be published on the official website of the Agency for Language Development and Cultivation and on the official BIPA Daring website.
The First, Second, and Third Best Participants in each competition shall be awarded funds and a certificate.
The First and Second Best Participants shall be invited to Jakarta, Indonesia, to take part in the appreciation program for the best participants of FHI 2025.
The round-trip costs of the First and Second Best Participants, from their place of origin to Jakarta, as well as the costs of accommodation and meals, will be borne by the Agency for Language Development and Cultivation in strict compliance with the regulations.
The decision of the jury and committee on the winners is final and cannot be contested.

Participant Criteria
To participate in the competition, a participant shall.
1
Be a non-Indonesian citizen
2
Have the ability to speak bahasa Indonesia at least equivalent to BIPA 1, A1, or beginner level
3
Be at least 18 years old by 25 August 2025 and legally able to undertake international travel on their own
4
Have an active email
5
Have not won Best Participant I-III and/or have been awarded Category A in any FHI competition in previous years
6
Be committed to be present in Indonesia to attend the appreciation program for the best participants of FHI 2025 if selected as the First or Second Best Participant
