About Festival Handai Indonesia (FHI)

Handai Indonesia is a brand given by the Language Development and Guidance Agency, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology that foreigners who can speak Indonesian and understand Indonesian civilization, society, and culture. To provide a platform for foreign speakers to demonstrate their proficiency in creatively speaking and writing Bahasa Indonesia, the Agency for Language Development and Cultivation, through the Center for Language Strengthening and Empowerment, organizes Festival Handai Indonesia (FHI). Handai Indonesia refers to foreigners who speak bahasa Indonesia and who have a good understanding of Indonesian civilization, society, and culture. FHI is implemented through various Indonesian language competitions.
