Types of Competition Specifics Terms
1. Storytelling
  1. Participants tell a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) themed children story written by Indonesian or foreign nationals’ author.
  2. The intended audience for the story is Indonesian elementary school children.
  3. Participants shall tell the story without reading from a script.
  4. The story may be taken from budi.kemendikdasmen.go.id, penerjemahan.kemendikdasmen.go.id/pecan, buku.kemendikdasmen.go.id/buku-stem, or another source from the participant’s country of origin.
  5. Participants may add background audio to the video.
  6. The length of the video must be 5–8 minutes.
  7. Written information including the participant’s full name, country of origin, competition category, story title, and story source must appear at the beginning of the video.
  8. Entries will be judged on content, language use, performance, and video presentation.
2. Singing
  1. Participants shall sing a mandatory and an optional song in Bahasa Indonesia.
  2. The title of the mandatory song is “Tanah Airku” composed by Ibu Soed (Saridjah Niung).
  3. The optional song must be selected from the list available at s.id/LaguPuisiFHI2026.
  4. Participants may sing with or without musical accompaniment. The accompaniment may be provided through an instrument played live by the participant or through karaoke.
  5. Participants are prohibited from manipulating or editing their voice using voice-changing applications.
  6. Participants must perform the mandatory song and the optional song consecutively.
  7. The video must be recorded using a static shot.
  8. The video must not exceed 10 minutes in duration.
  9. Written information including the participant’s full name, country of origin, competition category, song title, and composer must appear at the beginning of the video.
  10. Entries will be judged on language use, performance, and video presentation.
3. Pantun [Rhyming]
  1. Participants shall perform a self-composed pantun on the theme “Character Education for Indonesian Children (Pendidikan Karakter bagi Anak Indonesia).”
  2. Participants present eight pantuns with the following structure.
    1. One opening stanza.
    2. One self-introduction stanza.
    3. Five stanzas forming the main body.
    4. One closing stanza.
  3. One pantun consists of one stanza containing four rhyming lines.
  4. The video must not exceed 6 minutes in duration.
  5. Written information including the participant’s full name, country of origin, competition category, and pantun theme must appear at the beginning of the video.
  6. Entries will be judged on content, language use, performance, and video presentation.
4. Speech
  1. The speech topic is “Equality in Education (Kesetaraan dalam Pendidikan).”
  2. The speech structure includes an introduction, a body, and a conclusion.
  3. Participants shall deliver the speech without reading a script.
  4. Participants shall deliver the speech standing and dressed in formal attire.
  5. The video must be 5 to 10 minutes in duration.
  6. In the video, participants shall be clearly visible, at least from head to knees.
  7. Written information including the participant’s full name, country of origin, competition category, and speech title must appear at the beginning of the video.
  8. Entries will be judged on content, language use, performance, and video presentation.
5. Poetry Recitation
  1. Participants shall read a mandatory poem and an optional poem in Bahasa Indonesia composed by Indonesian poet.
  2. The title of the mandatory poem is “Wahai Pemuda Mana Telurmu?” by Sutardji Calzoum Bachri.
  3. The optional poem can be selected from the list available at s.id/LaguPuisiFHI2026.
  4. Participants shall recite the poems expressively, in accordance with their own creative interpretation.
  5. Participants shall read the mandatory poem and the additional poems consecutively.
  6. The video must not exceed 10 minutes in duration.
  7. Written information including the participant’s full name, country of origin, competition category, poem title, and poet’s name must appear at the beginning of the video.
  8. Entries will be judged on language use, performance, and video presentation.
